Southbound I-95 Lane Closures – October 19, 2020 thru November 13, 2020
From Monday, October 19, 2020 until Friday, November 13, 2020, southbound I-95 lanes will be closed to perform bridge demolition activities on weekday nights beginning at 8:00 pm until 6:00 am. In addition, the slip lanes for southbound I-95 may be closed, which will require closing Ramp L (northbound SB SR 141 to southbound I-95) and Ramp K (southbound I-95 to southbound SR 141). The slip lane, Ramp K & Ramp L will reopen by 6:00 am each weekday morning.
For traffic normally using Ramp K (southbound I-95 to southbound SR 141), the following detour route will be utilized:
- For traffic on southbound I-95, vehicles will take the ramp to northbound SR 141, take the ramp to Delaware Route 4, continue straight onto Marshall Street, turn left onto westbound Delaware Route 4 (Justis Street), turn left onto James Street, turn left onto eastbound Delaware Route 4 (Market Street), and take the ramp to southbound Delaware Route 141.
For traffic normally using Ramp L (northbound Delaware Route 141 to southbound I-95), the following detour route will be utilized:
- The detour route will instruct drivers to turn left onto Commons Boulevard, continue onto Airport Road, turn right onto westbound SR 273, take ramp to northbound Delaware Route 1, take ramp to southbound I-95.
